A NEW LOOK FOR THE MIDLAND BLOG
This blog hasn't been active in the past but the branch may want to revisit it now. The recent upgrade makes it almost as versatile and robust as a website with much less work.
I am no longer a branch member but I'm still one of two administrator/members on the blog. June is the other.
I recently took the liberty of upgrading and selecting a new template, but the 4 years of information was retained.
If you have questions or want an invitation to comment, post or administer the blog please contact me. Jane Wirth, Maria and Pauline have my email address and phone number.
Best wishes,
Mary Rack, now of Avon Lake, Ohio

To June:
I hope you are recovering speedily under your daughter's care.
I hope to see you on the blog soon. We need to switch it to the new format and try to lure members to visit it. As the originating member you must initiate the conversion.
I enjoy managing the California AAUW Online Branch blog at http://careaders.blogspot.com/
Regards,
Mary

Good morning all!
I last checked in three years ago.
Since then I moved (part-time) to Ohio and dropped out of the Midland branch. But I'm still interested and miss my old friends so I plan to rejoin as a "dual". California Online is my primary AAUW membership in keeping with my passion for e-communication and nomadic lifestyle.
I'm "blog master" for the CAOnline book group at http://careaders.blogspot.com/
It's brand new and we have a lot to learn but it's exciting. I encourage you to visit us and invite you to comment.
If you're a web-maven you might even consider joining the branch: http://www.aauwcaonline.org/bookgroup.asp
This month's book, our first, is Farmworker's Daughter, an Adelante pick. The author is in dialog with us but she communicates via email. I hope to persuade her to post to our blog, too.
What about updates from the rest of you? I hope to see your messsages here later.

I entered as myself easily the First Time.
"Now is the time to examine the state bylaws and propose amendments that your branch feels are necessary."
The sentence in quotation marks was copy/pasted from a MSWord document as one would copy/paste within a DOC.
Inviting new members: Full answer -
In Blogger Help, go to the "Members" section for instructions: briefly, 1) at the
interface select SETTINGS, 2) select MEMBERS, then 3) select ADD TEAM MEMBERS.
Follow instructions.
I will return after trying this out. I think I need to log back in as June to do it.
